Skopia

By Seraf Inc. · Free · Android and Linux · runs on your device

See if anything is down. Then see why.

Skopia watches the sites you run, the Wi-Fi you joined, the radio around you, and the domains you hold. No account to get started.

Free. Every scan and every check, unlimited.

Three rooms. One question each.

Overview is whether a saved site still answers. Nearby is the room you are standing in. Assets holds the sites and domains you keep.

Overview

Is anything down?

A board of the sites you asked Skopia to watch. Down ones first. A 4xx still counts as up — the server answered. A transport failure or 5xx is down.

  • Linux checks every minute while the app is open, and alerts after five minutes unreachable
  • Android checks in the background about every 15 minutes, as Android allows, and notifies you when a site stops or starts answering
  • Security advice sits behind Improvements to make, not on the board

Nearby

What is around you?

The Wi-Fi you joined, the Bluetooth advertisements in the room, this phone, and a hive of who this machine is talking to.

  • Devices on the LAN, named where they can be, with risky ports called out
  • Twelve seconds of Bluetooth listening. Tracker tags flagged. Never connects
  • Traffic as a treemap of organisations — observe only, never block
  • This phone: user CAs, wireless debugging, private DNS, how stale the patch is

Assets

What you actually own

Websites, LAN addresses, internal names, and the domains you hold. Certificate days, redirects, headers, expiry, transfer lock, SPF and DMARC.

  • A bare address may try HTTPS then HTTP. An explicit https:// never downgrades
  • Self-signed TLS is accepted only for a private socket peer
  • Registry facts from RDAP, not from a calendar you keep

The app.

Real screens. The network in them is a fixed example, not yours.

No account to get started.

Install it and it works. There is no sign-up and no advertising in the app.

No sign-up

There is no email, no password, and no profile. Add a site and check it. That is the whole start.

No ads, no analytics

No crash reporting, no telemetry, no advertising ID, no third-party SDKs. The listing is the product, not a funnel into a feed.

What a check talks to

A scan talks to your own network, the sites you added, public DNS and the domain registry. No advertising ID, no crash reporter, no extra SDK riding along.

Signed by Seraf Inc. Skopia is in testing on Google Play and anyone can join; the APK here is the same build.

Android

Android 7.0 and up · sh.skopia.app

1. Join the test group

2. Install from Google Play

Joining the group is what lets Google Play show you the test. Nobody posts in it, and other members cannot see you.

Rather not use Play? Download the APK (61 MB). Android warns about anything not installed from Play; allow your browser to install apps, once, and it will proceed. An APK install does not update from Play.

Linux

One command, no sudo. x86_64 · 21 MB

curl -fsSL https://skopia.sh | sh

Installs into ~/bin and your app menu, and checks the download's SHA-256 before unpacking it. Read the script first if you like.

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, sites, domains and traffic all work on Linux. Phone checks are Android only. To remove it: curl -fsSL https://skopia.sh | sh -s -- --uninstall.
