Skopia

Skopia Router · by Seraf Inc. · Free · Android

Your OpenWrt router, in your pocket.

See who is connected, how fast the internet is moving right now, and what on your router is worth fixing. Turn Wi-Fi networks on and off, change a password, share it as a QR code, block a device.

Free. No account, no cloud, no ads. The app talks to your router and nothing else.

The Overview screen: internet status, a live download and upload graph, connected devices and Wi-Fi networks.

Everything LuCI shows you, at phone size.

Skopia Router speaks the same JSON-RPC interface LuCI uses, so a change made in the app is exactly the change LuCI would make.

Overview

Is the internet up?

Online or offline, your public address, and a live graph of download and upload on the WAN port. Memory, storage, load and uptime underneath.

  • Rates read from the router's own counters every two seconds
  • Restart the router, or reconnect the WAN, from the menu

Clients and Wi-Fi

Who is on it?

Every device from the DHCP leases, the Wi-Fi associations and the neighbour table, merged into one list with signal and link speed.

  • Turn each network or radio on and off
  • Change the name, password and security (WPA2/WPA3, Enhanced Open)
  • Share a network as a QR code a phone camera can join
  • Block a device on a network with the router's MAC filter

Health

What is worth fixing?

The Skopia part: each finding comes with the sentence that fixes it, and a button where the app can do it for you.

  • No admin password, open or WEP or WPA1 Wi-Fi, WPS left on
  • Router reachable from the internet, SSH or LuCI opened on the WAN
  • Admin over plain HTTP, UPnP on, and firmware with a newer release or out of support

The app.

Real screens, from the demo router built into the app. Nothing in them is a real network.

Your router stays yours.

No cloud controller, no account, nothing in the middle.

Direct to the router

The app signs in to your router the way LuCI does. It works on the router's network, or from anywhere over your own VPN (WireGuard, Tailscale). Nothing is relayed through us.

Password in the keystore

The router password is kept in Android's keystore and is excluded from backups. A self-signed HTTPS certificate is remembered the first time, and you are told if it ever changes.

One outside request

At most once an hour the app reads the public release list on downloads.openwrt.org to tell you when a newer release is out. It sends nothing about you or your router.

What your router needs

OpenWrt 21.02 or newer with LuCI, which every release image includes. The app uses rpcd and uhttpd-mod-ubus, LuCI's own back end. Sign in as root with your LuCI password.

Your phone must reach the router: be on its Wi-Fi, or connect over a VPN. Never open LuCI to the internet; Skopia Router will tell you if it is.
